Attractel today announced its 2008 Q2 multiplatform release spree of Zoiper softphone with new versions for all operating systems supported: 2.15 for Windows, 2.03 for Linux and 2.03 for Mac OS X. All new versions of the popular IAX and SIP softphone have important new additions and fixes.

The 2.15 Windows release now features an improved T.38 fax sending interface, including the Zoiprint printer driver that enables users to easily send documents, images and even web pages (Zoiper Biz). This functionality allows users to send emails with both web browsers and mail clients.

Both 2.03 versions for Linux and Mac OS X share similar enhancements and bug fixes, the most important of which are:

• Added Changeable number of lines (Biz);
• Added setting authentication user name and reregistration time for SIP accounts;
• Added resetting certificate (Biz);
• Added Japanese language;
• Added detection of running Zoiper using UNIX sockets (/tmp/zoiper.pid is not used anymore);

• Fixed an issue with certificate registration (Biz);
• Fixed bug: cannot dial from quickdial list (Mac OS X);
• Removed tray-icon behaviour for unknown desktops/window managers (Linux).

Zoiper users are advised to upgrade to the new versions.

Zoiper is a IAX and SIP software phone for Windows, Mac OS and Linux, compatible with the Asterisk platform. As ever, Zoiper is available in Free and Biz editions.
