Nintendo delivers VoIP for DS

Nintendo DS is to feature VoIP thanks to Pokemon Diamond and Pearl will ship to the US on April 22 along with a headset that can be used to speak with friends. Players who have each other’s codes can talk online during and after battles. “The amazing wireless and voice chat features of Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl offer gamers something completely new,” says George Harrison, Nintendo of America’s senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications. Nintendo compares this feature to a child's first cell phone with special emphasis on easy use and protection. Expect this feature will appear on many other future DS games.
